DMEPOS Supplier

In order to receive Medicare reimbursement for supplying surgical dressings, a supplier must enroll in the Medicare program as a durable medical equipment prosthetics, orthotics, and supplies (DMEPOS) supplier. Additionally, DMEPOS suppliers are required to revalidate their enrollment every three years. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) also reserves the right to request off-cycle revalidations.

Enrollment Through 11-6-22

Until November 7, 2022, the National Supplier Clearinghouse (NSC) is the single organizational entity responsible for issuing or revoking Medicare supplier billing privileges for suppliers of DMEPOS. November 6, 2022, is the last day that the NSC will process Medicare enrollment and re-enrollment applications for DMEPOS suppliers.
