Webinar: Documenting Primary Versus Secondary Dressings

There are some surgical dressings that can only be used as a primary dressing, others that can only be used as a secondary dressing, and even some that can only be used as either a primary or secondary dressing. Third-party payers require suppliers of surgical dressings to document whether the dressing dispensed is going to be used as a primary dressing or a secondary dressing. Join us as Dr. Jeffrey Lehrman explains exactly how this should be documented and provide examples of what adequate documentation should look like.

At the end of Dr. Lehrman’s presentation stay for a Question & Answer session where he will answer any questions that you might have.

What You Will Learn:

  • Differentiate between a primary and secondary surgical dressing.
  • List the primary versus secondary classifications of commonly used surgical dressings.
  • Document the intended use of a surgical dressing as being either primary or secondary.

The event is finished.
